I'm back (after a year)

I have moved to a new website where I will return to writing. I hope you can support me with this, perhaps by reading through some of my new content, a favour I would be keen to return too.

I am really excited about this new chapter of writing for me, and for the content that I have been creating.

The site will also be where I show some of my personal design work and portfoilio.

I have currently uploaded a post on my favourite accessories, fashion gamechangers and a post all about UK blood donation.

When I was a young 7 year old, wearing my brightly coloured tights and cardigans knotted in the middle (I was convinced this was a look), I would spend hours designing outfits for my imaginary fashion brand… I thought I was a born fashionista, naturally.

I now look back with warm nostalgia, at these hideous outfits, the most overdone accessorized looks. Neon bags, enormous earrings, dramatic headpieces and red heart sunglasses (a particular favourite of mine at the time, it seems).

It’s comical because now I couldn’t be more plain with the accessories I wear, especially those that I grab day to day. Yet, I have come to learn that even the simpler pieces can really make a look my own and help form my own style.

Thank you so much for reading, it means a great deal to me.

Recent Additions: Denim, Stripes and RED

I feel like I go through fazes with my fashion- although floordrobe mornings, where clothes seem to morph into hopeless things, always dot my months. Yet, at the moment, I’m really loving my style and building upon it. Instead of simply mindlessly shopping, I had visions of what I wanted- clearly my mind is a little obsessed with red things for one. So here are a few new additions that are helping to make up my summer outfits right now… it’s fair to say I’m a tad in admiration.

So it’s been a month and a little bit, which means it’s time for MOODBOARD #2- a little visual summary of my upcoming month and the things I’ve been enjoying right now. There’s a bit of fashion, life bits and a sneak peek into this month’s #mythoughtson…

Baking THE Indulgent Triple Choc Brownies

How can I not love writing a blog post when it comes with triple choc brownies? The last few weeks have been a hellish mess of exam prep, revision and a lack of free time. Yet, I’ve found my best escape from it all has come in the form of baking, with the perk of a chocolate treat at the end too.

MyThoughtsOn: Feminism

When I was away, I started to see my blog in a whole new light. I decided there was more to my writing than just lipsticks and shoes, there was a purpose that I wanted to write for. There was meaning to it. The new series My Thoughts On will embody this, as I look to investigate and talk about some of the bigger topics that are relevant to me now. I feel that our platform has so much power, and I would love to put it to some use.

Holiday Tips For A Week Away

It’s hard to complain about life when I find myself writing this on a Tenerife black-sand beach, with the midday sun basking down. Moments like this can remind you how sweet life can be. Yet a holiday can also be far from this serene idealistic reality, with the constant threat of reddening skin, lost luggage and forgotten essentials. So here are my personal top tips for a summer holiday, so it can go as smoothly as possible.

NEW READS: The Rosie Effect Series

My favourite thing by far about reading is when you finish a book and feel like a whole new person because of it. I love the power a book can have on your mind-set, emotions and onlook of life really. For me, that’s the sign of a bloody good read. So here is the latest pair that fitted this enriching description.
