Festivity in London

My family’s annual trip to London is by far one of my favourite days of the year. This time it fell on Sunday 11th December. It was an amazing and festive day trip, and here are some photos from the day.

My top tip for Sunday December visits is that Oxford Street shops won’t open until 12. This is something we sadly didn’t know, so flounced down Oxford Street without a single shop open. Moving on, we headed to the beauty that is Covent Garden, with its little shops, bustling market and fabulously festive atmosphere- by far my favourite place to visit in winter.

In the afternoon we went to a Christmas concert with the London philharmonic orchestra. It put us all in such a festive mood, as we sang carols galore. Then walked along the Southbank in its festive stalls, through Oxford Street’s Christmas light canopy, into a taxi and home on the train from Paddington.
