I feel like I go through fazes with my fashion- although floordrobe mornings, where clothes seem to morph into hopeless things, always dot my months. Yet, at the moment, I’m really loving my style and building upon it. Instead of simply mindlessly shopping, I had visions of what I wanted- clearly my mind is a little obsessed with red things for one. So here are a few new additions that are helping to make up my summer outfits right now… it’s fair to say I’m a tad in admiration.

So it’s been a month and a little bit, which means it’s time for MOODBOARD #2- a little visual summary of my upcoming month and the things I’ve been enjoying right now. There’s a bit of fashion, life bits and a sneak peek into this month’s #mythoughtson…

How can I not love writing a blog post when it comes with triple choc brownies? The last few weeks have been a hellish mess of exam prep, revision and a lack of free time. Yet, I’ve found my best escape from it all has come in the form of baking, with the perk of a chocolate treat at the end too.

When I was away, I started to see my blog in a whole new light. I decided there was more to my writing than just lipsticks and shoes, there was a purpose that I wanted to write for. There was meaning to it. The new series My Thoughts On will embody this, as I look to investigate and talk about some of the bigger topics that are relevant to me now. I feel that our platform has so much power, and I would love to put it to some use.

It’s hard to complain about life when I find myself writing this on a Tenerife black-sand beach, with the midday sun basking down. Moments like this can remind you how sweet life can be. Yet a holiday can also be far from this serene idealistic reality, with the constant threat of reddening skin, lost luggage and forgotten essentials. So here are my personal top tips for a summer holiday, so it can go as smoothly as possible.

My favourite thing by far about reading is when you finish a book and feel like a whole new person because of it. I love the power a book can have on your mind-set, emotions and onlook of life really. For me, that’s the sign of a bloody good read. So here is the latest pair that fitted this enriching description.

How I miss the warmth and sunshine of Tenerife right now! My holiday there was needed and a perfect escape from the stress of life at the moment. And you know what? I actually loved some of the outfits I wore while I was away, so here are a few I managed to photograph in the week.

Feeling uninspired as a blogger is a suffocating but common occurrence. You find yourself with blogger’s block, a distaste for content-making and you begin to question why you’re here at all. Personally, I think it’s kinda essential- it shakes you up and reminds you of what you really want to write. It tells you to get your shit together. A week in Tenerife has straightened me out nicely.

The past few weeks have been a mishmash of days at sixth form, working weekends and that odd lull of in-between time. It’s gone past the snug of winter and Christmas, but we’re still miles away from the BBQs and freedom of summer- with only the ‘joys’ of exams marked in the calendar. It’s meant to be spring- but the weather is still shit and the rain catches me out most days (where is this spring sunshine?).

Bath is a beautiful English city settled in the heart of Somerset. From the cobbled streets to historical sites, it is a place rich in culture. I am lucky enough to be not too far from this stunning place, but barely ever get the chance to visit. However, in half term I spent the day exploring and enjoying the allure of the city- so thought I would write up a post about things to do and see whilst your there.
Bath can be accessed in a number of ways, mainly through coach, bus and train. All would get you to the snug centre of town, where the life of Bath exists.

As a textiles a-level student and someone who is generally interested and loves fashion, I always like to stay in touch with current trends. I find the whole thing fascinating and exciting, how trends are predicted months in advance and then interpreted differently by the different brands and designers. Then the shops are filled with these trend pieces, ready for our springtime wardrobes.
In today’s post I’ve summarised four of my favourite trends, with reference to my favourite designer interpretations. Then I’ve linked up a couple of options that are available on the highstreet now, ranging from shop to shop, at a variety of affordable price points. I’ve even popped in how I’d wear certain pieces and which ones are my favourite.

Whether for your one true love, or just to share with family and friends, Valentines day offers a great opportunity to do some baking. I recently indulged in some sweet treats of my own, baking a batch of Smores and Mocha (chocolate and coffee) flavoured cupcakes.

Today I thought I’d do something a bit different. I’m all for sharing and communicating through blogging, so sometimes it can be nice to do thing interactively through a tag post- and I was lucky enough to be tagged in this award a week or so ago.

Wowee I’ve missed all this- the artistry of writing and editing a blog post- especially one which I feel so excited and inspired to write. Paired with the fact I’ve been a complete January-o-phobe this year, the last few weeks have been a mess of mock exams and little time- so I took a brief break and am finally sitting down to write.

So I already feel knee-deep into 2017, with a week hectic with mock exams and revision- the first week back to sixth form has been a right bitch. However I'm close enough to New Years to still have that oddly warm buzz of reflecting on the last year.
For me, 2016 was a right beauty- it was just such a brilliant and fun year for me. It also had challenges and experiences I'll never forget- so here are my six highlights of the year.
