Liebster Award and Q&A

Today I’m going to do something a little different. A few weeks I was kindly nominated for the Liebster award and I love this award as I know it is great for spreading the word about undiscovered bloggers.
The tag involves thanking the blogger before you, answering the questions they set and then nominating other bloggers, with less than 500 followers. It is a great opportunity to discover new blogs and support smaller bloggers.

So to start, I want to thank Kathryn. For one, I am a lover of her blog, and have read it for ages now, so it means so much that she nominated me. Also, since this is my relaunch into blogging, having support from the Liebster award has really motivated. If you haven’t heard of Kathryn’s blog, I’d really recommend it as she writes about beauty and lifestyle.

Why did you start blogging?
So for those of you who are new to my blog, this is actually my second blog. My first blog was started a couple of years ago- basically at the beginning of my teens. I started it because I’ve always had a love for writing and fashion, with an enjoyment for makeup and watching Youtube too. My best friend actually suggested it, and although my blog style has evolved, I still love blogging for the same reasons I used to.

What are your top 3 wardrobe staples?
I feel like learning people’s style staples says so much about them. I also feel that over the last few months my style staples have actually changed quite a lot. At the moment, one staple in my wardrobe is definitely my a-line denim button up skirt. I know everyone and their mum seems to be wearing these skirts, but I love mine and can literally wear it with every outfit… and I have been. So even if it is hugely popular- it is one of my wardrobe staples too.
Another wardrobe staple for me is at least one garment that is floral. If you knew me, you’d know I have an obsessed with floral clothes. When I go shopping, I just seem to be attracted to the pretty floral dresses, tops and playsuits. The actual pieces change from season to season but somewhere there will be some flower power peeping out.
Then my third probably a pair of boots- brown, black, heeled or flat- some form of boot. I’d say I’m always wearing either my converse or boots, and boots are probably my must worn shoes all year around.

What is your most used beauty product?
At the moment my most used beauty product is my Collection Fast Stroke eyeliner. If you’re a fan of eyeliner, you need to try this. Personally- I used to hate liquid eyeliner but this, my lovelies, is a game changer. It is cheap and cheerful and seems to last me months. I go to this every time I wear liner- which is nearly every day- so it is pretty much my favourite beauty product.

What food could you eat every day for the rest of your life?
I love this question. So for me it’s probably between a few options. Something I rarely get bored of is my breakfast in the morning. Most days of the week, I wake up craving my porridge. I make quite simply porridge, and either have it with apple, banana and cinnamon or banana and berries. It is so tasty and fills me up till lunch, perfect for school days too. However, my favourite dinner is by far my Dad’s chicken pie. I LOVE IT. I can honestly eat platefuls and platefuls until I burst, so that is another.

Which 3 people would you take with you if you were trapped on a desert island?
I’d take my best friend first, because then it would seem like an epic holiday. I’d take Steve Backshore because I want to survive and he can save me from the desert island’s monsters and creepy crawlies. Then I’m not too sure about number 3- I’m thinking the Queen because a) I would get to meet and chat with her royal highness, b) if the Queen got trapped on a desert island, I feel the world would be searching for her (so I’d get rescued soon) and c) when we did get rescued, she could shower me with gifts and trips to the palace…. Or maybe just my mum, because mum’s always know what to do in situations (and she’s good at first aid).

What is the hardest thing you've ever done?
This question is hard because in my life, I’ve been challenged just in different ways. At the moment, life is definitely tough- as I’m facing my GCSE exams- and I have also had to work really hard for my violin exams. Nonetheless, other challenging moments for me was getting my first job, and getting used to being a bit outside of my comfort zone. Yet the hardest thing I’ve ever done if probably running the Sports Relief 3 miles a few years ago. I’d never run before, and it was a huge challenge, but I did it and it felt amazing.

What is your favourite scent?
One of my favourite scents is vanilla. I know a lot of people like vanilla but the sweet, soft scent literally drives me mental. Candles, fragrances, bath products- if I could make myself or my room smell of one thing it would be this. However, I also have a deep love for the scent of coffee- it drives me nuts, mmm… and now I’m craving a cup of coffee.

Where is your favourite place to eat out?
So this one took my a few seconds to think about but my answer is undoubtable GBK. I am a huge burger fan- beef, chicken- whatever. I love GBK as they have the nicest burgers and I’m never unimpressed. They also do some really inventive ones, although I prefer classics, and some yummy milkshakes (I’ve never tried one but have always wanted to). The only other place I’d say is somewhere breakfast-y, such at the Boston Tea Party. Gotta love me some pancake action.

What is the best book you've ever read?
Now I’m not gonna answer this one as I’ve planned a blog post all about my favourite books in a couple of weeks, so stick around and you could be finding out the answer pretty soon.

Where do you get style inspiration?
I defintly wouldn’t say that my ‘style’ is something set in stone. I have a very girly taste, and love dresses and skirts, but I’m always experimenting and trying new things, so I don’t really have a defined style. I get my inspiration from all around me, from other bloggers (such as the babe that is Hannah Gale), Youtubers (if I could steal all of Tanya Burr’s wardrobe, I would) and random people around me.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
In five years I’ll hit 21. Bloody hell. Sitting here on my bed, sixteen and with EVERYTHING- it seems- ahead of me, I really don’t have much clue. I’m not too sure what I want to do after A-levels, but think I’ll end up at Uni, hopefully, studying towards a career. I want to be happy, healthy and excited for whatever will be coming next then.

So, that’s all those questions answered. I must say that was both a fun and challenging set of questions set!

Now I will set my questions-
Do you have a role model, if so who?
If you could have dinner with a famous person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
What is your favourite makeup product?
Favourite chocolate bar?
What is a film you can watch over and over without getting bored of it?
If you could have one talent that you don’t currently have, what would it be?
What’s your top tip for bloggers?
If you won millions of pounds in the lottery- what is the first thing you’d do with it.
Who is your favourite  more unknown Youtuber?
A book you’d recommend?
How would you describe you’re perfect evening?

And here are the people I am tagging:
