Stila Palette Review + Swatches

Holey moley. It feels like an age since I’ve just sat down to write. Sixth Form is going well for me- I’m loving it- but it means busy 24/7 and there are only little pockets of time for blogging. I was meant to write this post up a few weeks back but there hasn’t been a spare moment- so I thought I’d do it today. It was my birthday in September, and one of my lovely pressies was the Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette in the shade Soul- so today I thought I’d share my thoughts on it.

In the last few months, I’ve got a lot more into eyeshadow and since starting sixth form I’ve enjoyed being able to wear it day to day. So, I really wanted this pretty palette of 12 shades.

Personally, I’m a naturals-lover, and wanted a palette that would give me a nice range of colours that were all brown or taupe toned. I wanted a palette where I’d be able to wear all the shades- instead of one where you only want two colours.

This palette is absolutely stunning and I’m obsessed with it. Every day, there is so much choice and so many combinations I can create with it.

Out of the 12 colours, 4 are matte shades and the rest really pretty glitters. I’m not the biggest fan of glitter eyeshadows but I LOVE these ones. There’s something in the formulation of these shadows that makes them look so pretty. Also, the pigmentation of the glitter shadows is phenomenal in particular. The palette also includes a mixture of cooler and warmer tones which I think is nice as you can experiment with so many looks.

I love that the palette is perfect for day to day casual looks as well as for bold dramatic nights out.
The palette is also pretty compact for the amount of shadows it hold, and is pretty travel friendly too. It has a really big useful mirror too, which I use daily, and a metallic close as well.

My current favourite combinations include wearing ‘heart’ on the lid and popping ‘thought’ in the crease- which is a look I’ve been wearing to school. However, the matte brown ‘being’ is also really nice for darkening the look for an evening out. ‘Kitten’ is another of my favourites, a rosey taupe shimmer that is so pigmented and looks really nice with a brown in the crease.

This palette is a tad pricey, but the shades are amazing and the number of shadows is also really good. It makes for a lovely gift (I was chuffed when I opened mine) and could even be a good idea for your Christmas list.

I hope you enjoyed this little palette review. Let me know if you want me to do any other makeup posts with it, or any other beauty posts that you might like to see!

Thank you all for reading my lovelies, it means a lot.
