Sunday Spring-wear

Somehow, the sun came out last weekend, and –as it is now officially spring- I got to wear an outfit that didn’t need layers of clothing or boots. These photos were actually taken on Easter Sunday when the sun was bright in the sky (until the rain came in the afternoon) and, as I really liked this sweet and causal outfit, I thought I’d write a post about it.

This outfit is actually a combination of some new pieces in my wardrobe, and I love the look they had when I placed them together. Recently, I have felt a bit uninspired, so I decided to get a few new garments to get my wardrobe ready for spring/summer, and I am so excited by how they look.

The top in these photos is one I previously featured in my last haul. This summery white top is from Topshop and I think it is absolutely adorable. The little frills gives this top a girly touch and I think it will be so versatile over the summer.

I matched this top with my new denim skirt. Yes, I know I’m late to the trend, but I have actually bought one of this season’s button up denim skirts. After wearing my black Topshop denim skirt literally every day for months, I thought I better purchase one of the blue denim ones for the summer.
I love the effect of matching this a-line skirt with simple tops, and I think the look will be great over the next few months.

To finish up, I put on some black tights, grabbed my converse and added the touch of my rose gold gem ring (which was an incredible £3.99 from New Look). Today, I also did something a bit different with my hair, by plaiting a section across the side. My makeup was pretty simple, with a touch of bronzer and my Mac Velvet Teddy lipstick to jazz the look up.

Overall, I love this look. I know I will be wearing it non-stop for the next few months, it’s just perfect for everyday. What’s your everyday spring fashion look like? Let me know in the comments.
