Inside My Makeup Bag: Products To Love Or Ditch

My makeup bag is less like a treasure trove and more like a jack in the box of hit and misses. Don't get me wrong, there are some absolute beauties in there- tried and tested products that I've repurchased many a time- but there are also products I need to replace and switch up, as they just seem to be missing the mark.

THE LOVELY LOYALS

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation | £7.99
In the past, I've never really got along with foundations. However this way a game changer. This foundation is a high-street hero, with enough coverage and matt effect to make me look decent. I'd really recommend it to anyone, new to makeup or not, as I feel it is genuinely one of the best foundations that the highstreet has offered up- AND ITS SO CHEAP.

Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner | Intense Black | £14.50
I came across this in September and now I will never be without it. It is honestly the best pen eyeliner, perfectly black with a fine nib that makes flicking it out so much easier. There are cheaper options but I've tried a bunch and none are as good, or long-lasting as this baby. You know it's a staple when you have to be stocked up...

Mac Velvet Teddy | £16.50
Mac do know how to make a matte lippy, it has to be said. They're a tad pricey, yes, but they are very good lipsticks. I bought mine around a year ago, and it's still going strong. Plus the shade is perfect, wearable at day or night, to school or for an evening out. It makes me feel confident and happy- what a good lippy should do.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer | £3.99
I don't think I could be a blogger and not love this concealer. Cheap and cheerful, but a lovely high coverage to hide all those un-seenable sights. I love the lightest shade, as it brightens a little too. This is probably my most bought makeup item ever, and I don't think I'll ever switch to a different drugstore concealer anytime soon.

 NEEDING A SWITCH

Highstreet Mascara
I used to be obsessed with my Benefit They're Real Mascara, but when my last one ran out, I decided I'd try and save a little- sticking with the highstreet options. However, I've tried a whole range from an expanse of brands and am yet to find one that I LOVE. There are some good ones, don't get me wrong, but most days I have to faff and layer up the ones I have- and ain't nobody got time for that my friend. What are your highstreet mascara favourites?

Powders
I'm someone who has a tendency to get a bit of a shiny face through the day- no matter how my foundation tries. And although the Mayebelline Stay Matte Powder is a cheap options that does try for a few hours, I dont feel it works that well. I'd love to hear your recomendations on a powder that keeps your skin matte and un-shined thoughout the day!

Highstreet Lip Options
Although my Mac lippy is always a hit, for days at Sixth Form I sometimes try and opt for a product that is more affordable, so I don't end up using my favourite up. However I never seem to find a lip product to the same quality- be that a lipstick, lip creme or crayon. I find it especially hard to find those that retain their colour through the day.

Bronzer
When it gets to summer, and we are all pinning after a tan, bronzer is a great way to warm up your complexion. Not to mention how you can contour with bronzer! However I'm yet to find one I love and would opt for time after time. I got my Body Shop Honey Bronzer a few years ago and got colour-matched, but I find it orange-y and that it doesn't give me that bronze I look for!

So there are my break-it and make-it products, the ones that I'll always save a spot for in my makeup bag, and the others I need to replace. I'd really appreciate any recommendation for the four that need a switch up, I'm on the look out to find some really good new products!

Thanks for reading my lovelies and I'll see you soon.
