A Trip To Turkey

In the first week of this month, I went away on my holibobs to Turkey. I had an amazing week in the sun, filled with relaxing and swimming. I also had a great time because I actually went away with my parents and my best friend, Ruth. So today, I thought I'd share with you some of the photos from the week and a little chat about what I got up to.

After a year jam-packed with stress and GCSEs, I was so excited to get away from it all and begin my summer. Due to the recent attacks in Turkey- which occurred only a few days before our trip, we were all cautious but the area we went to was safe and security (particularly in airports) was good.

We went to an area called Belek and flew in via Antalya. We actually stayed in an all-inclusive hotel for the week, called Papillon Bevil and I'd thoroughly recommend it. It had great food, entertainment, three pools, a section of beach and waterslides- what more could you want from a week of relaxation?!

As a lover of food, I was not let down in this week. There was so much food on offer, from the pastries and fruit selection at breakfast to the meals at dinner. My favourite night was when the hotel celebrated Eid and the food was all Turkish themed. I tried some really different food, but most was really tasty. We also got to enjoy freshly cooked pizzas and waffles at lunchtime, not forgetting fresh doughnuts in the afternoon if you still had a bit of room!

On one day, we went on a boat trip along the Manavgat river. It was nice to do something different and we got some great views. We went in the sea at three stops and I even jumped off the platform (which was actually crazily high up) into the water.

I had the best time away. I was so lucky to have my family and best friend with me, which is what made the holiday. Honestly, taking a friend on holiday is so much fun and I think we both had an amazing time.
Spending a week in the sunshine was just what I needed and now- although sixth form summer work calls- I feel ready to begin my summer break.
As my friend, Ruth, is an amazing photographer and we took LOADS of photos of each other whilst away, there will be a lookbook post following this one with details of what I wore. There may also be some cheeky outfit posts through the month, as I thought I'd spread them out a bit.

Thank you all so much for reading this post, I'd love it if you'd let me know where your dream holiday would be in the comments! As always, my links are down below. Have a fab weekend,
